The Alumni Guide to Peer-to-Peer Fundraising

September 9, 2021, by Sandii Buckman

Alumni are woven into the fabric of Inspire School of Arts & Sciences. The students who have graduated from Inspire are a testament to what is possible when creative, immersive education meets young people who are ready to explore and expand their passions. Inspire prepares students for life after high school, and there are hundreds of stories from alumni who have built lives and careers around things they learned at Inspire. If you are an alumni or connected to an alumni at Inspire, now is your chance to give back — and tell your story in the process. Luckily, we’ve made it easy to participate in our current fundraising campaign, “Their Future Is Now,” and we’ve created a place just for alumni and their loved ones to participate!

How It Works

Our Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Campaign, “Their Future is Now,” is meant to build community support and raise money so that Inspire School of Arts & Sciences can break ground on a new school campus in 2022. We have a year to raise the money we need to break ground on the new school, and every dollar raised or donated helps us get closer. Peer-to-peer fundraising allows individuals, groups, businesses, and organizations to create fundraising teams, set goals, and invite others to donate to the cause. We’re asking Inspire alumni and their networks to join the journey by donating to their graduating class’ team and inviting others to do the same!

We’ve created a fundraising team for every graduating class at Inspire School of Arts & Sciences since 2012. All you have to do is find your class from the list below, save and share the team link, and if you’re able, make a donation toward the overall team goal of $5,000!

Alumni Teams

In addition to  representing your class in this fundraising campaign, every team that reaches fundraising milestones will also be memorialized on the new campus. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Raise $250/$500/$1000: Be part of our donor wall at the new campus, with your class name on a metal hawk feather (9”, 12”, and 15” sizes)

Raise $5,000: Have your class name featured on a Memorial Bench at the new campus

Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Works When We Ask Others to Help Us Reach Our Goals

There are dozens of other ways you can make a difference for future graduates of Inspire through this campaign:

  • Share the team link on social or via email to help raise awareness and encourage your networks to participate.
  • Make a video testimonial and post it to your YouTube and other social channels, encouraging others to donate to your high school and Inspire family.
  • Doing a short concert or performance online or in person and asking that “tips” go toward your graduating class team.
  • Sharing sample posts from our fundraising toolkits to help tell the Inspire story.

Tools to Help You Get Started

We’ve created several tools to help get you started. Now that your “Class of ____” team is already created, you can put your efforts into spreading the word about it!
