Have you ever played a video game and thought about its deeper meaning?  Have you ever played a video game and realized that it is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever experienced?  Join us this summer and learn about how video games are an emergent art form. Examine a variety of games and learn about how they borrow common tropes and stories from literature.  We will also talk about how we got to this point where we can effectively call video games art by overviewing the history of video games and how video games tell stories utilizing devices and tools uniquely their own.
