About

Mr. Holcomb grew up in Gridley, CA where he graduated high school. After graduation, found a job as a teaching aide at a local school before going off to France where he taught English and volunteered at the French versions of the SPCA and Food for Families. Upon returning home, Mr. Holcomb attended Butte College while working at a Jr. High with students with special needs. After earning three Associates degrees, he transferred to Chico State where he continued his studies in French, Vocal Music and Theatre while working in the Scene Shop building sets and props. There, he earned two Bachelors Degrees: French and Musical Theatre, then went on to pursue a teaching credential in French. After university, Mr. Holcomb worked at a foster family agency for two years as an Educational Resource Specialist in an attempt to get foster children assessed and caught up in school. Shortly afterward, he went into teaching where he taught French at Paradise, Chico and Pleasant Valley High Schools before coming to Inspire. He taught French, Health and Study Skills before taking a leave of absence for health reasons. In February of 2020, Mr. Holcomb accepted a position as a Senior Office Assistant and Attendance Clerk. Presently, you may find him in the Main Office sipping on iced coffee tapping away on his keyboard and answering emails and phone calls at his standing desk.
