About

Danielle Reynolds has been teaching at Inspire since the second year of the school. She has taught almost everything from Math C to AP Calculus, plus Advisory and some Engineering. She lives in Chico with her husband Joe and their two vibrant children, Opal and Jasper. Danielle discovered that she enjoyed teaching and working with people early on. She tutored and taught swim lessons in High School and went on to work with developmentally disabled adults in her early career. Danielle eventually followed her gut and received a bachelors degree in Mathematics with a focus in Education from CSU Chico. She soon after heard about an arts and sciences charter school in the area, read the charter, and knew it was the school she wanted to teach at. Danielle has been working to inspire young mathematicians ever since. She has also facilitated and ran professional learning for many educators in Butte County and beyond. In Mrs. Reynolds math class students are thinking mathematically. They don’t sit in desks and watch the teacher do the math. Instead, students are engaged in mathematical exploration, thinking, and communicating. When Reynolds isn’t inspiring even the toughest of tortured math souls to do math, she is getting outside, gardening, seeing live music, baking, eating delicious food, hanging out with her loved ones and friends, or thinking of the next thing to pick a math fight in her classroom.
