Malina Olson
About
Mrs.Olson has been teaching at Inspire since the beginning. After graduating from Durham High School, she attended UC Davis where she studied Biology with an emphasis in Microbiology and Biotechnology. While in Davis, she opted to try laboratory internships in both viticulture (R. H. Phillips – Hogue Winery) and biotechnology (Novozymes). Her final internship was in a local 8th grade class, where she fell in love with teaching. Her passion for science and teaching has taken her across the globe from Ireland to Africa. After winning a PG&E competition, Mrs. Olson was able to take two Inspire students to Kenya to deliver solar suitcases.
